French Countryside Travel Photographs

French Countryside Photos

The following photographs are from the French countryside, farms, orchards, and vineyards in France. This country offers great walks for those who love to spend a day just tramping in the brightness of day. The French countryside is extremely beautiful, quiet, medieval, and is perfect fodder for a day on foot.

Mira and walked there down the abandon railroad tracks from the town center and soon found ourselves on top of the great hill that props up the castle above the fertile river valley below. These photos show the Chateau de Tornac castle as well as the surrounding southern France countryside.

Montpellier France Photographs

Montpellier France Photos

Mira and I hitch-hiked into Montpellier from Anduze on a cold winter evening. We did not think that we would be able to hitch a ride back out of Montpellier in the night, so we bedded down for a cold night of sleep. We awoke the next day and bought an all-day ticket for the city tram and just rode around Montpellier taking photographs.

Anduze France Photographs

Anduze France Photos

The following photographs are from Anduze, France. I have been staying here for a week and a half now, and will probably remain here for the next three weeks. I was offered the gracious hospitality of some old friends from Chile, who emigrated to France two years ago. The below pictures show views from around the small southern France village of Anduze, which is 15 minutes from Ales and 1.5 hours from Nimes.

Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and is Lisbon's rival to the north. The below pictures are from around the city of Porto and northern Portugal. There are photos of the shipping docks, old styled boats, bridges, ancient residential neighborhoods, and the great churches and cathedrals which are all over Porto.
